Những căn nhà nhỏ nhỏ, xinh xinh... nơi thôn quê có gì mà chúng ta không thể có được ở ngôi nhà chính?
Chúng nhỏ hơn nhà chính, và đa phần là có nội thất, đồ đạc và các tiện nghi ở mức ít hơn.
Nhưng những gì được cảm nhận là khiếm khuyết này lại một trong những lý do làm chúng hấp dẫn. Chúng thể hiện sự thoát ly cuộc sống thường lệ, giúp cư dân có lối sống khác.

Suy nghĩ này dường như đúng với nhiều người khắp thế giới vốn thiết kế, xây dựng, đến chơi hay chỉ liếc qua nhà nhỏ thôn quê trên sách báo hay màn hình.
